You sneak into my life like a morning

ray of light, surround me with wanting arms

long strands of hair fall around your pale moon

soft, shimmering with stars, I love it black

God stretched the black and silver canvass

over my head, the cicadas woke

from their dreary sleep and moaned at the moon

a stream purled past me, a million pine needles
