This photo, of two groups of school children with their teachers standing beneath a massive tree, was taken in the Singapore National Gardens earlier this year. I'm doing volunteer teaching work at a school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and it has given rise to much thought about being a teacher. And as I'm still trying to process this new experience for myself, I'll stop this post here with an invitation to anyone to leave a comment about this profession, whether student or teacher, past, present or old.
